Your Contributions
- Developing and executing the overall supply chain strategy with in- and outsourced manufacturing, including supplier selection and development, especially performance management and quality standards, make-or-buy and second source analysis, long-lead time item management, smart inventory management etc. aligned with our business objectives
- Consistently pinpointing and exploiting cost-saving opportunities – while upholding quality and meeting production schedules – by analyzing cost structures, negotiating favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, seeking close collaboration with internal engineering teams
- Managing a team of 10 employees (buyer, supply chain etc…)
- In close collaboration with quality management, establishing robust quality control procedures and ensuring consistent quality of the supplied material, whether in-house or by the contract manufacturer
- Collaborating with the procurement team of the contract manufacturing partner to ensure timely availability of materials and components required for production
- Be responsible for the procurement budget, cost monitoring, and optimizing both operational and capital expenses
- Collaborating with the industrialization and production team to facilitate the smooth transition of new devices from design to series production including transfer-of-work to our contract manufacturing partner
- Ownership and continuous optimization of the purchase-to-pay, inventory management, and make-to-stock processes in the ERP system (SAP Business by design)
Your Profile
- BSc/MSc in Mechanical/Electrical or Industrial Engineering and further education in Supply Chain or Business Management (or equivalent)
- 5+ year experience in leading a fast growing supply chain (organization) in the high-tech industry, preferably in the context of a heavily outsourced manufacturing business model
- Proven track record in best-in-class supplier selection, in negotiating complex supply agreements, and managing supplier performance, leading to substantial impact on cost and quality of supply in a global context of the high-tech industry
- Strong conceptual and communication skills to reach people from shop floor to C-level, both within its own organization but also at suppliers
- Excellent and broad IT skills (ERP, MES, PLM, preferably Google Workspace and SAP Business by design)
- Enjoy working in a multicultural and fast growing environment
- Very good French and English skills (both C2)
